When I asked another friend why not this is how he responded:

"You see this, that's water."

I think he was collecting soil samples at the time.

Jamestown area very little happening in the field but maybe by the end of the week.  Tappen area is going, Oakes and Edgeley areas are going, but nothing too crazy yet.  Roads are under water making it a nightmare getting around and alot of the fields are really wet yet.  the sand is king right now

Rugby area has a lot of farmers putting down NH3 right now and 2 seeding.  Seen a farmer yesterday combining his sunflowers and not leaving much because of water.

Without a doubt, coming out into nature is one of the neatest things there is to do, but you also have to be careful. That’s why I always try to pack the heat — try to pack a gun. Just a little bit — pack some heat. Now this isn’t too — this isn’t much of a big boy, I don’t want to kill the animal, but I do want to warn it, and say “hey, I think you’re pretty neat, but I respect your distance.” There’s bears out here, there’s mountain cougars, and biting goats.

We could always get lucky and get going by May 15th.
We'll get it done, but it could be a battle.
By all the water it is like we took a 3 week step backwards.
We were a week away before the storm, so it'll be awhile.
If we can get going by the 20th we shouldn't have a problem.
Just have to think positive and hope for the best.
If all else fails maybe we can do custom work blowing snow this summer, haha.

Have seen a few guys try it but it seems like the air cart sinks in all over the place and in my opinion you cant raise a crop like that.  So hopefully it drys up enough to keep the equipment from sinking and then maybe a guy can go around here.  This is possible the wetest i have evr seen it.

Custom sprayed the first field today. Its about time. Low spots really wet. Did find a nice 5 pt shed in a field tho. Was a very nice suprise. I can see a lot of things from the cab of the sprayer, but didnt find the match to it.

If we can dodge the rain this weekend, things could be going very well next week.

You should care and put farmers on a pedistal.   You will hear great compassion for farmers who get in the field late but not so much for other industries like construction, oil & gas development etc... that get delayed.   Not sure why but it is what it is.

Maybe it is because people cannot live without the food that is grown by farmers??  Or maybe its just because both of you are tools...not to sure
