We are also going to have a gun board. It will be $10 a square. We will have this rifle chambered in 22-250.

Fur buyer will be on site. Hopefully these cold temperatures will keep the dogs hungry and coming into calls.

On January 16 the Enderlin-Sheldon Wildlife Club held their annual coyote hunt. 41 teams braved the cold starting at 6 AM and hunted until 7 PM. A total of 15 coyotes were killed and 69 coyotes were seen by the hunters while in the field. First place went to David Mark and Pete Seelye who shot seven, second place went to Zach Siebert who shot three, and third place went to Jacob Roesler and Bryce Beilke who shot two. Mark and Seelye also shot the heaviest coyote weighing in at 39 pounds. The hunters were treated with scalloped potatoes and ham when they returned. They also all had a chance of winning $500 worth of door prizes for returning their blocks. Tanner Graumann won the 22-250 on the gun board. The wildlife club would like to thank all of the hunters who participated, the VFW for the great food and to the club volunteers who make this event a success every year.

I talked to quite a few of the teams that said they think the numbers are down from past years. But also a lot of them had opportunities at kills but something screwed up whether that was poor shooting or they got winded. I know a couple team could've had at least three and possibly four dead dogs but came in empty. Things tend to go wrong when it is -15° not counting the wind chill. It was a good time as always. Can't wait for next year.
