Photo Description:
My fishing equipment.  The switch that runs the reel is on the left.  Battery pack is on bottom, which is rechargeable.  There is a pulley where the crank should be, and a electric motor behind the reel.  Working on getting it mounted to my chair.  Oh, and that is my dog Otis on top.

That's interesting. Can you control the speed of reeling? Or is it just a constant speed? You'll have to come up with a device that could somehow sense a bite through the line that would set the hook. Or will the mount do that already?

There are two speeds, when I push the switch forward it is faster, when I pull backwards it is slower.  I just watch the line to see the bite.  Then I just swing my chair fast to the side to set the hook.  It actually works quite well.  I have a new chair, so I am working on figuring out how to mount it.  I have an idea of how I want it.  Will post another picture when finished.

The only fish you can catch in the ghetto come in a plastic bag already filleted.

They also have a big June bugs in the ghetto.  I could not get away from this one...
