Fished Saturday and had some success catching perch. Only one walleye. Fished 26 feet of water with 20 inches of ice. Still fairly easy to get around.

Fished over by the Canal last night. TOO MANY PEOPLE DRIVING OUT ON 9 INCHES OF ICE! you guys are crazy. anyway fished about 10 feet of water and only one bite at 4 oclock. ended being a 13 inch walleye. hope some other folks had better luck than us.

Ice fishing has now begun! Tonight was our first outing for the year. My two kids and I went out to check ice thickness, and ended up wetting some lines. The ice is cloudy and only three inches. Brought the 4 wheeler but left it in the truck. Nothing more that foot traffic for us. We put three jigging poles in and had action on all three. It was chilly though. I don't think we have adjusted to these new temps yet. I put up the hunting blind with a heater inside that took the bite out of it, but I think we have become spoiled with the permanent house. We iced a nice fat 20 inch walleye and a 14 inch walleye with a few other bites and one that got away. Estimate about 15 feet of water for depth. (brought no depth finder and no lanterns) Once it got dark we packed up. We are waiting for the fish to thaw in the sink so I can clean them. Stizo :)
