Devils Lake (Overview) - Wednesday, June 29, 2011

Fished all day yesterday, nice day to be out.  Started the day off with a 23" 4.5lb walleye.  Took a few pictures and let her go.  Rest of mid-day was slow for walleyes but had fun catching 2-6lb northerns.  Fiesty little guys!  At 2030 the walleyes moved back in and it was non stop until I quit at 2300.  Caught over 20 walleyes in those couple hrs, along with a few white bass...which by the way still have eggs.  Casting #5 shad raps was the key last night, slip bobbering with leeches only produced little walleye.  And man when they hit the shad rap...hold on!  I was fishing off shore again in the same spot I posted about last week.  That makes 3 trip with 3 limits!  Hope everyone has a good holiday weekend and good luck fishing!
