Devils Lake (Overview) - Wednesday, January 27, 2010

Report Details
I talked with several guides and fisherman this morning and have put together some info for visitors to Devils Lake this weekend.  Walleye are biting in 12-16 ft of water east side of DOC Hagens, Castmasters and darters are working with minnow heads (some really nice fish being caught here)  early mornings and evening bite are strong.  casino area is producing perch in the 17-34 ft with very light bite and was worms on small jigs have been the best. Scattered perch on military point 34-42 ft again very lite biting small jigs and waxys, Rocky has been putting out small eye all day and a few perch mixed in people are fishing on the point tip near the rock pile. Stromme addition is hitting with small eyes in the morning 22ft minow heads and jigs,  Foughty's point has perch biting in 21ft right off the trail and walleye are biting near penny bay the trail go right in there.  Hay bale has been a little slower with spotty fishing results but afew  were caught yesterday in 36ft with some of the nicer size being 12".  East Devils Lake is still active with perch and walley but getting around there has been a challenge deep snow and sluss pockets are the norm over there.  Best bet for the weekend Walleys Doc hagens,  Perch Casino or Foughtys.  Good luck
