Devils Lake (Overview) - Tuesday, September 13, 2011

Stayed at Eastbay Campground for the first time this weekend. Real nice place. Rented one of their smaller cabins and that worked out well. On Saturday fished in Haybale Bay and caught a lot of healthy but smaller walleyes. We were using spinners with crawlers and minnows. Seemed like the best depth was 17-19ft, but also caught fish anywhere from 15-25ft. Next day decided to try a few different spots but ended up at Haybale Bay again. Tried the Dairy Farm and Penny Bay, but only caught fish in Haybale. Caught more healthy but smaller walleyes, but one towards the end was little over 15 inches so that one came home for dinner. I too noticed the debris near the Stromme Addition and also thought it was weird. Just a beautiful weekend to be on the water and catching fish was an added bonus.
