Devils Lake (Overview) - Tuesday, August 23, 2011

Put in at Praire Knights. Was the only boat thought something was up.  Fishing out east of the tree line using crawlers.  I must say I never have caught fish when the lake is like glass and that it was I thought they said 20-30 MPH winds for the day I would have taken a 5 MPH.  Then the bugs well time for a boat ride.  Went south to the two islands pulled cranks on the east side thought I had the mother load.  Let my 11 year old daughter real it in 8 -catfish.... then went into porcupine creek let the kids swim to cool off.  Put the crawlers back on went out were toward the island 1 small Pike, 1 pearch.  Still no wind and the bugs are gettting to us so time for a boat ride.  Went to the east side put the cranks back on.  Started to make my way back north trying two spots I caught fish before not a thing.  Fished the point on the south side of B-Bay.  Hot no wind /bugs the girls want to go home.  Noticed the boat ramp in B-Bay was empty also.  Were are the fsih????????????
