Devils Lake (Overview) - Monday, August 22, 2011

Took my step dad and step brother to devils lake the 19th - 21st. Neither of them fish at all so it was interesting but a great time. Fished howards bay the first evening pulling bouncers and caught roughly 20 fish most small only kept 6 that wer over 14 inches. Second day we fished the east side of 57 vertical jigging off a weed bed and absolutely hammered the walleye and perch! i have never caught so many fish in my life! Most wer small (except the perch witch were like little footballs!)  My two companions were so astonished by the numbers we caught. We ended up keeping our limit of walleye and a dozen perch. Third day we vertical jigged rocky point quickly catching our limit of 15 and 16 inche walleyes. Both locations we stayed in about 16 to 18 fow. What a weekend to take my family out fishing!
