Devils Lake (Overview) - Monday, April 20, 2009

Well, sad to say but the DL basin is getting molested this spring as usual.

I have never seen so many fish 20-27 inches taken out of the fishery in a 2 day period.  Find open water with current and working jigs is producing.  A small boat to get away from the shore crowd is very fun.

Fished Sat and Sunday (1/2 days each due to cold and lack of warm clothing).  Kept 5 Sat (between 2 guys)  too many others too big to keep.   All kept were milking males up to the low 20s in size.  Sunday caught 6 all too big to keep, only 1 was milking; none kept.

Its very hard not to say anything to guys molesting the fishery...  Just try to lead by example

The fish dont stand a chance anywhere in the DL watershed in the spring!!!!!!!!
