Devils Lake (Overview) - Friday, July 1, 2011

Fished out near Doc Hadens and did well, key was to fish in 7-9 fow near weeds ( outer edges) lots of small 11-13" walleye mixed in with nice ones. caught limit with most fish in the 17-18" range with 3  nice 21" 4 lbrs.
Fish the trees out by Grahams and picked up a few but mostly pike as the water was to clear.
Slip bobber with leach was top catcher followed by casting. the jig bite picked up towards evening using plastics and leaches.  Key all week was fish the back bays in 7-9 ' of stained water along weed lines or casting to wave
washed shores with cranks on windy days.
