Devils Lake (Overview) - Friday, January 27, 2012

Report Details
hey guys i was hoping that you can help me out.  I havent been ice fishing in over 2 years now, and i have never fished devils lake in the summer or the winter.  One last thing is that I have never driven on ice before.  If you guys can provide general locations for me to google and drive out to that would be great.  I am not looking for honey holes, just some general info such as a bay, or landmark where it would be a good place to start.  I am pretty new at this still, and i do not have all the fancy equipment, just poles, auger, and a small pull over tent.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.  I am thinking of spending the day out there tomorrow.

Just go south of Pops Bar and drive off road onto the lake.  Go straight out and to the west a bit.  You'll see people scattered about.  They've been getting some fish there.  One day's good, the next not.

I don't fish DL either, but my advice would be to go to the Woodland Resort area and talk to them or another bait shop and seek that info. They should have most up to date info. GL
