Is anyone launching out of the ramp at MWKN? How about the one just South of there? I tied up in the trees and fished all last summer, it it too early for that right now?

It's the only way to get from the Main Lake to the Minnewaukan Flats, Right South of Graham's Island.

Look at any map of the lake and you will know what I mean. There is a huge area along the south shore of the island that has been pretty good before, but you will have to try that yourself. Try firetigers at 10-17 feet or tie up in the trees.

We launched from graham's, best boat ramp to have access to the flats and six mile.

Plenty of room and plenty of fish, so keep the reports coming.

Fished on Pelican for two days last week with only 4 pike and a bass to count for it. We tried the shallows, but it seems the fish had moved out.

We then moved out to Zeebach's Pass for the rest of the week. Three days, three limits, 4 guys. Tied to the trees and jigged, chartuece with white gulps out-produced any live bait rigs. The fish were from 2-4 lbs. We had three over 25 in, they came on lead core in 17ft. with fire tigers.

There was some boat traffic, but people were tying up so there were no invasions of privacy. We had some friends that fished the SW part of where channel A opens into the lake and they had similar results using lead core and Salimo's.

we are heading back up there on weds to give it another wirl. Hope everyone brings their jigs, we had allot of pike rip us in Zeebach's, those slimmers get spendy.

Well i finally got out again tonight we fished Pelican from the island to the bridge and even part of the flatts mostly the north shore all the way to the road from 2pm until 7pm we threw everything at em leaches minnows spinners jiggs and more crankbaits then u can count on one hand not one friken bite we finally got frutrated and pulled up and went to the the Casino launched there zipped under 57 and over to mission bay pulled up caught a pike within the first ten casts and a nice 3 lb walleye (male still milking) a while after that then it just quit nothing until we decided to troll arround the flooded trees picked up one more pike and nothing after that however we missed a dozen fish or so, so some fisherman error.

Anyone any information on where they are biteing in pelican i would love to beable to fish up there and catch something but everywhere we tryed there was nothing but there was a buncha boats up there so something must be going on any info would be greatly appriciated

Well last weekend was pretty slow going, seemed the best luck was on Friday before we got there. My brothers friends had some luck casting shad raps in shallow water up in Pelican. We caught a few nice eaters Friday night on FireTiger shad raps in the shallow water, under 5 ft. Same tactic Saturday only produced a couple fish, but it seemed the only thing that would work. All the walleyes we caught were males, and still milkin. Over all the fishing was still really slow, hopefully the spawn will be over by this weekend.

I see that the gawking leech has returned. Haven't seen hide nor hair of it for a while. Impressive...a five word post...I remember that you don't like long winded mellowdramatic fishing reports that go nowhere...You like to keep it short...and simple. Hope to meet you at the gathering. It will be in your area. Stizo :)

This report is a little old but....We fished the Churches Ferry area on May 5th. Caught our limit of 3-5lb Northern within 30min. Used a #7 countdown and smelt with a stove hook and bobber. Tried to jig for walleye before dark but no luck at all.

fished the Butler outing on Saturday, our boat had 8 (3guys)walleyes for 4th place out of 57 boats. Our buddies fished near us and had 12 walleyes (3 guys) for 2nd place. I would say 50 boats had zero walleyes. tough conditions and water temp was only 45 degrees. Fish were biting extremely light and we missed a lot. best fishing was in 25-30 feet but they were very scattered. We fished six-mile bay between the lightening.
