recently purchased a used lowrance x67 ice machine and a used aquaview camera. the batteries are shot in both. the lowrance turns on if the charger is on the battery. the aquaview needs a 1 amp fuse before i can try it.

what i am wondering is, has anybody tried running both units off of a bigger battery?

I think I'm going to buy myself one of these baby's for Christmas. My old school zercom battery poops out pretty fast on the ice and I plan on getting a camera this winter also, this power tower is a pretty slick idea.

I might be mistaken, but I heard Aqua-Vu went out of business.  Maybe it was bought out by somebody.  The one thing I reccommend with the under water camera is to keep it warm.  I have had 4 different underwater cameras and if they are not warm, they do not work properly.  They were all the TV type and not the projector or LCD type.

I used a 12 volt battery to run my camera a few times also. I have a fl-18 and a camera, used the camera quite a bit at first, but after the novelty wore off ,I leave it home. Too much stuff to haul around and I usually see the fish first on my Vex, before they can be seen on the camera.

I just got mine delivered by the ups guy, great idea. They are on sale for 49.99 right now, I have heard some rumblings about being a little heavy loaded up.

CATMECHANIC! I run a X67C myself and sometimes use a deep cycle also. I run a jumper or use a cigarette lighter attchment  when I use it with another fuse in line with the power. I just do this for a double backup. When it comes to fishing ice or open water I carry a back up for everything. Good luck and Get some COOKIECUTTERS! Fish are biteing big time.
