Perry is toast, Paul is too honest so he is toast too, Grinch is not electable, so whos left? Palin is not present so shes out, that leaves Bachman or Romney. Ill put my money on Romney. Nope, not good enough. Sorry, I missed Cain, no, hes black, thats not gonna work either for the GOP. Huntsman, you people are smarter than that, so nope, not him either. Who did I miss, anyone worth mentioning?

Im not running. You watching the debate? By the way, I have never been a burden to the American Taxpayer. How many current candidates can claim that? Thanks for the edit option, I forgot that I served in Operation Desert Storm, so I have to admit that I was on the Taxpayer payroll due to military service. Thank you, Taxpayers for writing me that check.

It HAS to be Romney. Perry will NOT bring over the moderates which Romney will. An extreme right wing candidate cannot win just as an extreme left wing cannot either. We need to have someone towards the middle and Romney is that candidate.

I like what Ron Paul has to say and agree with many things that he does bring up but he is just not electable. I think Newt made some good points as well. Unless Romney totally torpedoes himself, the Repubs would be foolish to not nominate him. I would love to see a debate between Obama and Romney. Would NOT be a pretty outcome for Barack.

gawd I hate argument over nit-noid shiite within the ranks.  We follow the Constitution and amend it as nesessary.  Our problem is we have to pull the Country back from the MIDDLE of the septic tank.  Quickly.  The garbage on the Supreme Court leaked out the ass of a dead mule.

When I hear Perry talk, I hear George W Bush all over again.    As much as I hate to say it, Romney is probably the one with the best chance to beat Obama.   I would hate to see an Obama administration unleashed during a second term.  Imagine the EPA rules they could come up with.

What Perry did last night did not hurt him, nor help him much in swaying undecided people to his side. He did solidify support for himself, by not running away from his positions and decisions.

Primary's cause people of similar mind sets to eat each other's lunch in an attempt to gain voter support.Paul put another nail in his coffin on this run, Bachmann is not moving up after this, nor is Santoruim or Newt. This leaves Romney and Perry to slug it out.

In regards to opinions on candidates, I could vote for any one of them without a pause. Come gen election time other than some Paul supporters I think it will be the same. Poor Kaptian will then be decimated that his CHOSEN ONE becomes a one term wonder!
In my lifetime I have seen fence row to fence row farming and the return of CRP and game to the landscape. Now we face again the prosepect of fence row to fence row again! Sportsman are our own worst enemy in that we fail to look forward and focus to much on the now!

Walleye,

I lost faith in the American people last election because someone from the far far left was elected. The proof is everywhere of that.

So I have learned never say never.

All I know is we need newt kaptain. Or someone like him. I don't care about his marriages. Not anymore. We need a stern figure that has dealt with this before. Not someone that is electable. God bless us all since our voting has become movie star status and who is 'electable.'.

Gross.

Tim,

I think when Obama got elected it was basically an "anybody but Bush" type of deal, wouldnt you agree?? Obama presented himself to the mainstream voters as the candidate of "change" and McCain made some really huge mistakes and could never seem to difference himself from the entrenched Replublican establishment.

I think the more policies of Obama that middle of the road Americans see, the more they start seeing through him. I really do believe that a large number of voters are somewhere in between what the two main political parties have evolved to represent. The key is for a candidate to woo that voting block and not be pulled by the extremes that seem to have gotten so much power on each side.
