Fished Danzig for pike this afternoon, 130 till 5 ish, lots of little guys, nothing over 18 inches, smelt and minnows under tips, north side. Too windy and slick to try for perch, or to move around much!

Fished from about 2:30PM to 5:00PM. Was going for perch and didn't have a single hint of a bite, on waxies or minnows for that matter. Ice is only about 8 inches so no vehicles yet. Depth was from 6 to 9 feet left of the boat ramp. Entire lake is glare ice, no snow. Don't forget your cleats.
To the very nice gentlemen who stifled their laughter until I was out of earshot after I fell over backwards not but 2 steps on to the ice...thank you. I'm sure it wasnt easy and I appreciate it. To whoever caught the nice eater-size pike and through it up on shore to rot.... to hell with you. Either keep it, clean it and eat it or release it. |

i was at danzig on november 27th and caught 15 perch and all of them were over 10 inches. also caught 5 northern
