Yes I eat crow often. Same as foot in mouth.  But I throw em under my corn so I eat them in away.  I wish I could kill a couple hundred in duluth they trash the garbage bins every week

I'm in the same boat Jiffy, it has the same appeal as a Shovler, if they come in the decoys they are safe...Just wanted to know if anybody actually eats those buggers

It seems like a waste to shoot them and leave them lay. Find somebody that traps coon they make good cubby set bait. I took my e caller out that has crow calls on it. the crows really responded to it. my dogs dont know what to think about retrieving them.

Speaking of this I watch a show the other day about Tabboo's and there was this fellow in England that picked up all road kill he found.  I mean five day old stuff was fine.  In England some old timers wouldnt clean their pheasants until the guts fell out or the head seprated from the body when hanging from the beak.  But he ate all this road kill because no matter what way you look at it, it is all protein.  He was against big farms to produce protein because it is killing the earth kinda guy.  But it was interesting to watch.  So would crow be my first choice no but I would maybe try it if far from a town so I knew they were not eating to much trash

I'd assume crow tastes simular to seagull, coyote and prairie dog....none of which I HAVE to eat.  In a survial situation, ok, but I have enough good food to eat to mess with freak'en crow.  YUCK, YUCK!!

Considering you constantly see them eating road kill and McDonald's french fries, I think I'd pass.  hmmmm...... That gives me an idea.  Next time I decoy them I think I'll pick up some McD's fries and set the decoys around them.

I had an old timer tell me one time that his dad or grandpa used to eat them all the time.  His theory was that once cars and the mass amounts of garbage appeared on the scene, the tast of the meat changed and they no longer hunted them.
Makes some sense.  Before road kill and free trash to eat, the crows ate alot more grain.  How many scare crows do you see in corn fields now a days?
