I've taken 7 so far this year. 6 females and one male.

I only have 5 so far. I've had probably a dozen missed opportunities in the last month due to not having a gun with, or being a terrible shot.

I should've suited up last night while I was burning cardboard. Heard quite a few howling non-stop, they were maybe only 1 mile from the house. I decided to dig the boat out from the snow instead.

The Govt. hunter went through our area and whacked 47 in one day from a plane so the opportunities have been thinned out a bit around here.  I'm perfectly OK with that too!  So far I have 4.

My count is in the high twentys for the year. All taken while driving to or from a hunting spot or as was the case this past weekend out to the farm. I am an equal opportunity yote shooter.

Soft snow surface on Sat was the demise of two should have been three !
In my lifetime I have seen fence row to fence row farming and the return of CRP and game to the landscape. Now we face again the prosepect of fence row to fence row again! Sportsman are our own worst enemy in that we fail to look forward and focus to much on the now!

I say donate the state money that was inteneded for the bounty, to the USDA Wildlife service guy to shoot more.

What prompts the feds to come shoot coyotes?  Just complaints from ranchers or do they periodicially hit certain areas?

Apparently they ran into packs of yotes and got several at a time.  He took out a pack of 14 in one spot.  I didn't think they bunched up like that, but at that rate, it doesn't take long to hit 47.  However, there seems to be plenty more west of VC as I have heard them yowling in the mornings.

Nice. Have you sold them all yet? That would be a pretty cool pic to post if you still have all of them in a pile somewhere.

the season that started on oct 15th ended today .    259 coyotes put to the stretchers.  less a few with mange and mite damage.  got 7 today and only kept 4.  breeding season and snow damaging fur quite alittle now.   no traps, snares, sleds or atvs involved for those about to ask that ?

K, how about airplanes? Haha, kidding. Anyway,  2 coyotes a day for 128 straight days is pretty impressive.
