Kind of makes my skin crawl thinking about what it would feel like to have your eye poked out with an antler.

I used (some would say wasted) my tag once on a deer that was all crippled up and couldn't walk from either a fight with another deer or a barbwire fence and I would do the same regardless of size if I saw something like this. I know nature takes its course and all and I usually preach that when talk about the poor animals in a hard winter comes up, but even I have to show a little mercy every now and then.

Call me Mr. Sensitive.

Not trying to contradict what you say, but my first thought when i seen it(before looking at your caption) was a bullet wound. Any chance?

No thats what i thought to when i walked up i thought i might of flinched. But it was a standing shot with a rest and a 300 leaves a big hole when hit in the head. Part of the wound is already healed. there is a hole behind the ear that is alraedy healed up and it was starting to heal around the eye.

Is it possible for a wound like that to heal that quick from a gun shot. It was shot on wed. night  5 or 6 days.
