So after tossing around getting implements for my ATV, I decided it will be more effecient to get a compact tractor.  I've been pricing out new ones and checking bisman and craigslist daily.  Does anyone have any advice.  I'm looking at 25 HP area with mower, loader, tiller and blower.  Anyone have one for sale?

I have looked at new ones....and that's all I'll be doing...looking. Too much for me, so I will rent when I need something other than mowing/snow. But I found out each brand does something really well and other things not as well as the competition....so determine what's important to you and shop accordingly. e.g. Cub Cadets dont have a bagger attachment, John Deere does. Bobcat probably has the best hydraulics for loader use....etc. I have used an older Ford and a newer John Deere...the John Deere's loader was painfully slow after using a bobcat skidsteer for most of my loader use...but that green machine sure looked sweet parked in the yard.

That thing looks a little small for his needs.  I picked up a Bobcat 30 horse model ct 230 with a bucket and a belly mower brand new for 17,400.

I have a JD 2305 with a self leveling loader, 3 point snowblower, mower and some other attachments and i absolutely love the tractor. The power is adequate and it is small enough that it will fit in almost any garage so its easy to store inside.

I would not hesitate to reccommend one. The new ones are not called 2305 anymore they have a different model number now but i think that JD has 0% on new compact tractors so that could be something to consider.

Acutally this model and the 1026R are about perfect.  I just think the price on these used ones are high.  It's still going to run me 18k to fully equip that machine.  I know, I know JD's hold their value.  If that's the case though, I'll buy new and put the first hours on it myself.

I ran a Bobcat the other day for a bit.  I loved the hydraulics on the machine and how beefy it is.  The only thing is I'm looking for 0% interest if I can't buy in cash.  Bobcat offers 48 months of that but then you forfeit the free implement (bieng a 4500 dollar snow blower in this case) making the tractor price sit at a little over 30k.  That's too much.  Everything is bigger on the Bobcats though.  66inch belly mower, 60 inch snow blower.  It's like you said, they all do something well over the other.  You have to slide the belly mower out the side on these where JD is a drive over quick attach.  Just little things....

I'm looking hard at Kubota.  I have a quote and it's the lowest of any of the brands.  Plus it's hard to go wrong with 0% for 60 months.  I'm just concerned Acme in Minot might be on the high side since they have a booming market right now, so I'm waiting on a quote out of Fargo to see if they are lower or not.  I may even get a quote further east if for no other reason as a bargaining tool for here.  As of now from what I see, they are the best bang for the buck.

I have a 2305 John Deere. LOVE IT.

Paid $20,000 new in 2008. I see used one on Bisman yesterday was $22,000

When I bought it wife was not happy till she saw how nice it was for moving snow. When I got mine JD was 3.49% financing nothing down.

I second it. I have the bx 2660 with a loader and 60 in belly mower and have never been happier. The front mount blower is around 3200 and the rear is around 1800 so I just push with the loader until I can get the money for that attachment. The 0 down and 0% financing for 60 months is really nice also

I agree...look closely at the kubota. I've had a b3030 for a couple years and couldn't be happier. It will mow faster than I care to go... id you get a blower - take a close look at Lorentz..they have the beat blowers you can get and they are reasonably priced.

I'd look into some auction listings like Dennis Biliske. I'm sure there are a number if tractors like a good 464 International on someone's bill.

Whitchever model you decide on getting, just do it.  You will be happy that you have a machine to take care of your needs.  The last three years have been snowy and my tractor has been a life send.  I would have been in a pile of trouble without it.  If you are gonna try to move any amount of snow front wheel assist is a MUST.

Do you know who deals Lorenz in the area?
