Cold snap coming

Is anyone else completely jacked for this cold weather coming?!!! I know I am! The deer are gonna be on their feet and I've been in home lockdown since mid September with a new baby boy but the wife has noticed the weather coming in and gave me the green light to get after it again. Hopefully have some pics within the next couple weeks before rifle season hits and bow tag filled. Then it's her turn with the rifle tag:)

I am pretty stoked for this cold snap, I just hope my blind survives the wind that's coming along with it.  Congrats on the baby, and the understanding wife! lol  Good luck!

Don't practice until you get it right, practice until you can't get it wrong.

Maybe even a bit of snow!   I rummaged around last nite and dug out my heavy winter underwear and my Farmer Coveralls.  My blinds are mostly enclosed permanent ones, some on wheels, so I  ‘m not too concerned with camouflage or much with scent.   Mainly keeping the old body warm enough to let an arrow fly.

The enclosed blinds seem to hold my scent in pretty well, as long as you watch the wind. I’ve used a little propane ice house heater in them in previous years, and surprisingly deer didn’t seem to smell the burned propane fumes or hear the faint hiss of the heater. Surprised the heck out of me.
