Channel cats have been a sure thing the last couple of weeks anywhere along the sak from williston to new town.  The game is simple a slip sinker split shot, and my preference a medium sized circle hook. The mud lines that current and wind create are a catfish magnet.  Crawlers, leeches, cut bait, its all working.  The neat thing is all the other fish that come along with.  Carp are like catching a small 4 wheeler. Shiners hit and run and jump, the flash and dash.  White bass are all attitude and power.  When you are after catfish you want to see that spin and roll after the classic tap and run bite.  3 trips in the last 2 weeks from 7:00 until dark has the freezer ready for the fish fry.  Until the walleyes pick up in a couple of weeks cats have my attention.

Try one of those Worm Blowers for your crawlers.
