Changing round wheels to cams

Ok this is just a pet project I have started and I'm not sure if its even possible to do, so any help is appreciated.  My mom has an older martin bow, draw weight about 45lbs, with just the old school round wheels on it.  Well she doesnt hunt anymore but the girl freind kind of wants to get into bow shooting.  I want to start her out with this older martin before i spend a ton of money on getting her a set up.  To get a little more out of this older bow is it possible to change the old wheels for either bigger wheels or some kind of cam system.  I know i would have to get a different length string to accomidate the new wheel/cam system.  Just wondering if this is possible or if anyone have ever done or attempted a build of this nature.  Any help would be great.  Thanks?

I was interested in doing the same thing to my PSE dakota. However, after talking to a few people, they said that the cams cost about $100. I had to take their word on it since I wasn't able to find any PSE cams for sale on the internet. If they cost that much, it is hard to justify spending $100 on improving an older bow when you plan on buying a new one in the near future.

Go to archerytalk.com. There are hundreds of used bows on there for the money you would have into this one upgrading it. Otherwise, if you call Martin, they will let you know what parts you will need or if it can even be done. I have a 2007 Pearson Z34 hunting bow that was a solocam and I also had a 2009 Z34 target bow with bianary cams. Called Pearson to see if I could make the swap. They were very helpful.
