From the blinds I have looked at, they say you can shoot mechanical broadheads through the mesh.....but I would think twice about doing it.  I would think you would be opening a door for potential problems.

I would think it would force the expansion of the blades, and possibly cause flight instabilities... as the blades are supposed to expand once theve impacted flesh.... not expand then fly to the target.

A friend of mine shot a rage broadhead through mesh and got his turkey this spring.  I questioned this as well, but the proof  was a dead turkey.

Every major broadhead company says you can shoot it, and you probably can.  I think Rage and Grim Reaper even have videos on their website showing how this works.

However, why would you take that chance?  With all the time, money and effort I put into tuning my bow, i'm not going to send my arrow through a peice of fabric while on its way to a deer I've been dreaming about since early January.  Too many unknowns about how that would affect the arrow's trajectory.

I think there is a better chance of the deer seeing you without the mesh and running away then the mesh screwing up your arrow flight.  IMO

I guess I've never notice an issue with deer seeing me.  I use the Primos Vision blind, so I can position the mesh in my shooting lanes and leave it everywhere else.  I also wear all black and my blind backs up to a big tree so there isn't much light going through to create any silhouette.

I'd also be worried about fletching contact.  Check out this video:

The blazers really wobble when exiting the mesh as they cut a bigger hole than most expandables.  It's probably not much but again, why risk it?

That mesh is quite weak, at least on the mesh I have shot through.  it cuts at the touch of a broadhead.  The easiest way to know is to practice through the mesh.  I doubt it affects arrow flight much worse than a whisker biscuit.  The worst part of the mesh for me is that it is hard on the eyes to stare through it for hours.

Absolutely not!!!!! You are lucky if this works we tried hard there is no consistency what so ever we lost arrows with broadheads and tried two different blinds and we are very experienced im not saying it wont work once or twice but you will kick yourself i wont mention the broadheads names or the blinds but we spend top dollar on all.Broadheads will and do expand period!!!!
