How is the ice, went by last week nobody fishing but ice was there. What can you expect to catch.

Fishing was slow Saturday. Only caught a few small rainbows. Fished five four hours in dead calm conditions.

Went out the past couple of nights and shore fished Camels Hump with great success. My buddy and I limited out both nights on Rainbow Trout.
We caught everything on in-line spinners (Rooster Tails, Mepps and Panther Martin) that are dark in color. Also had some success with a rainbow trout colored rooster tail. |

I went out today and action was very slow. I managed to catch one 10" rainbow and one two pound largemouth during the three hours I was at the lake. Water color is stained, probably because of all of the work that G&F are doing to the lake. I did speak to a Game Warden on my way out and he said that there was some minimal winter kill at Camel's Hump, but that the lake had already been restocked. Water levels are probably 6" higher than last year, so perhaps fishing will improve over the next few weeks.

Has anyone fished Camels Hump yet this year? Did it winter kill like most other small lakes here this year? I was out there with my wife a few weeks ago, but didn't have any poles along. Did not see any fish floating.
