Not looking good.....Slush, thin ice and deep snow has turned this lake desolate. The slush was about 8" high and occured in every direction off of the boat ramp. There is also too much snow to drive also. The ice was 12" in the places we checked. The only way to get around will be with a snocat or tracks. Fished for about an hour after getting soaked on the 4 wheeler. Caught one northern and then got tired of standing in slush and headed home.
I am disappointed i'll miss the tourney. It looks like most of the fishing will be done right next to shore this year.
