Buffalo Lodge Fishing Tourney

Allen- should have good access this year- if the weather holds. You guys had to cancel last year. Glade to see you are not promoting keeping the smallest perch. I can hook you up with  a door prize from Buffalo Creek- if you want.  Maybe I can make it this year!

How do you sign  up? and whats the entrance fee?

I cant wait! 

In the past you would sign up at the boat ramp.

It was like $10 or $20 in the past.

The more that show up, the bigger the cash prizes!

FYI- Allen, droped off some door prizes with Archie Wednesday night.

derby must still be a go- I thought just maybe they would push it back with all this warm weather- good luck out there and be safe!

This is all I could find on the internet. There are posters hanging up at a few gas stations in minot.

Prizes: Cash for 1st, 2nd & Smallest Northern Pike Cash for Largest & 2nd Largest Yellow Perch Cash for Largest Walleye Door Prize-$150 gift certificate(need not be present to win)

Other prizes donated by Local and Minot businesses; please patronize them. Limited to 200 entries. Granville City Permit# 2010-1. Admission fee $10.00; not a charitable donation.

public access area- by the boat ramp- which is on the NW corner of the lake.  You can buy your derby ticket right there!

thanks. never fished there before but its not far from town so i might make it this time....hows the ice conditions?

Last I heard was 12 inches.. I'm sure it'll be a little less after all this wind and 60 degree temps!

GRANVILLE MASONS FISHING DERBY
                                                                January 7th, 2012 8 AM TO 2 PM
            
OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

1.    Fishing begins at 8 AM and ceases at 2:00 PM, at which time prizes will be awarded and door prizes     will be drawn.
2.    All contestants must observe North Dakota State Game and Fish Department rules and regulations.
3.    Fishing area will consist of Buffalo Lodge main lake.
4.    Weigh station is located approximately west of the dock.  Must have ticket to weigh fish.
5.    Fish must be weighed before they become frozen. Any partially frozen fish will be weighed at the     discretion of Derby Officials.
7.       Fish may be weighed between 8 AM and 2:00 PM.  After weighing a fish you may return to fishing.
8.       All contestants must be in the area of the weigh station by 2:00 PM for prize drawings.
9.       In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by coin flip.
10.      SPORTSMANSHIP:  All contestants will be expected to be courteous, safety conscious, and practice     fundamental sporting principles. Any infraction can result in IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION!
11.     Ashlar Lodge #69 will not be responsible for any accidents.
12.     The door prize will be drawn at the completion of the tournament, NEED NOT be present to win.
13.     Official weights of the largest Northern Pike and Perch will be posted at the weigh station.
14.     Interpretation of these rules shall be left exclusively to the Derby Committee. The decisions of this     committee shall be final in all matters.

The Buffalo Lodge fishing derby scheduled for Saturday January 7th has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.

if i have bought a ticket at the bar in granville do i have to stop and register or can i just go and start fishing?

when will the later date be?

is this tourney seriously postponed because i'm hearing it's still on.

I just called the White Buffalo Bar in Granville and yes it is postponed to a later date!

The Buffalo Lodge Fishing Derby has been rescheduled to Feb 4th 2012.  Old ticket dates will be honored.  $10 entry fee.  8 AM to 2 PM

Anyone going? I'm gonna give it a shot- try out our new Fish trap- good luck!
