I was out New years day last year to Brewer. A buddy and I snowmobiled down to the lake only to find a Game Warden suck in the middle of that road about half of the way down to the lake access. We asked if he needed help and he said no, so we B.S. a little bit and we were on our way. During the discussion he said that the road to the lake isn't maintained by the county or the state. He says it takes for a local or someone on there own time to move the snow to access the lake. Its nice when its done, but thats part of the game. I imagine sooner or later it will be cleared so it will be accessible.

Can't acces Brewer lake by vehicle. The only way anyone will be fishing there at all this winter is if someone were to plow the entire road through the park and onto the ice, OR if you walk out on the ice. Went out on Sat. to take perm. house out only to find that the park is plowed as far as the first shelter. If no one gets to fish the lake this winter, the fish should be bigger on average next winter.

went last saturday and ice was 12 inches of ice i measured and saw one walleye on the cam and caught some perch took 4 home was in 15 to 20 fow

Fished Brewer for 6 hours Saturday. Fished 10-20 and many in between.
Just a few dinky perch. Marked what might have been suspended crappie or gills - but no takers. COLD. Ice is 5-7 inches everywhere - and I drilled across a wide area (all the way across the middle and upper reaches). |

I stopped out there a couple weeks ago to throw in a line from shore and the weeds were already bad. every cast i brought some weeds in.

We were out for about 5 1/2 hours on saturday. Not much luck, 1 bluegill...

We fished for about 6 hrs and caught 2 bass and 2 bluegills. Most of the bites were in the last hour of daylight. WE kept 1 bass and both gills and they all full of eggs. Maybe thats why fishing was slow?

went out to brewer on sat. got into the eyes again caught 5 nice eyes from 17 to 26 1/2 was good to get out there. also got into some nice large mouth. |

I pounded the big crappies and big sunnies for the last month and a half ice fishing. I haven't been out in the boat to try yet, but I guarantee there still are fish, and nice ones, to be caught on Brewer Lake.

Was out a Brewer yesterday afternoon and evening and was skunked. Tried several different presentations and targeted bass and walleye. This lake has definitely gone downhill over the past two years. It's a shame. Saw tons of cormorants in and around the lake; not good for future fish populations.
