Was out trying to stick a deer by Brewer. Two shacks were on the ice. 8" of ice as I walked out to one of the groups. They were marking fish, had a crappie and got into a few gills. It's time...yes, it's time.

fished bewer for a couple hours this morning caught half dozen small bass biggest about 2.5 lbs cast raps along the weedbeds great day to be out fishing

Was out at Brewer thursday night and caught alot of nice 1-2 pound bass and a few sunnies. Talked to a fella who had been fishin it the whole last week and each night was different for types of fish, said he was catching everything and in bunches too. A little weedy but what lake isnt right now.

there are a lot of weeds in Brewer. there are a couple of docks and an area long the rocks. I have not been out there this year so I do not know how bad the weeds are but I do plan on getting out there soon.

does brewer have an kid friendly shore fishing? My kids are 5 and 3 so there attention span is not all that long.

Well, the bass have picked up a little, if you can just find a spot with as little weeds as possible with small rapalas or bobbers with a worm. Weeds are still very thick, the best place to fish, along the rocks.

i think Brewer is a great lake to fish as long as it is cleaned out, i don't know if they plan to clean it up, but it's great largemouth fishing.

Went out to Brewer yesterday...Good luck to those who decide to venture toward the lake. I managed to make it in, but it was 4low the entire way. There had been a few full size trucks moving through there, and the ruts were terrible. I was getting thrown around like a rag doll in my silverado. If you do decide to make the trip make sure you've got a good shovel and lots of time. Oh yeah...and the fishing sucked, only had one bite. Talked to a guy with a camera, and he hadnt seen a thing.

Brewer would be the greatest lake ever if they would take care of it and fix it up a little more, cuz there used to be great fishing out there until the cormerant got to it, and nobody took care of it. It's a shame!

I fished Brewer religiously up until this ice fishing season. The only bad year I had over there was right after the cormorants and pelicans hit the lake a couple of years ago, and even then I still found fish. Granted I've had my hit and miss days, but mostly had good catches every outing. Have you been finding any of those big perch that aren't supposed to be in there? Last year about this time we brought 3-5 perch home per outing. I definitely wouldn't say it's a perch lake since they aren't supposed to be there, but they were a nice bonus.
