Fished Brewer this weekend, put our permanent house out. Someone plowed roads, thank you who ever that was. The fishing was bad. Fished Saturday pm, no bites, stayed the night, Sunday am had huge schools of perch come through on the camera no bites, was using waxworms and minnows. I think its time to move the house off 1st time ive been skunked on brewer, talked to other people they were having the same luck as me, none.

I'm gonna try Brewer prior to AC/DC this weekend. In the past this is one of the few panfish lakes that I can't get plastics to work. I usually do best on Casselton w/ green jigs (genz worm) and Brewer seems to be a red (small fatboy) lake.

fished friday pm and sunday pm this weekend. only one bite friday and zero bites sunday. never got skunked there once last year and its happened to me three times now since New Years Day. will try a couple of more times before giving up on this lake. i do know that in certain areas of the lake guys are catching very small perch and walleye. where i'm at, we usually catch crappies but not this year.

We fished Casselton the other day. First time fishing thru the ice. I had a slimer bite me off right away. Seen a few others on the camera. We caught a few small perch. Not sure if it is a cloudy lake or just do to all the snow but it was kind of hard to see on the camera. We are gonna try some small MN lakes next. I wish there was a place to post reports for FM area lakes to include some of the puddles over in MN.

I am new to the area, just wonder how the fishing is on Casselton or Brewer. How much snow is on the lake is there anything on either lake to watch for as far as Springs??

went to casselton and caught some decent perch, sunfish and a crappie not a lot of snow on the res and fished in 11-12ft used wax worms dont know if they have been biting on minnows and people have been driving on the ice

I have'nt been to the Brew in a few weeks, I think I'm gonna give the Casselton Res a try this weekend. I fished there once last summer with my wife and got into some sunny's. But I see on the stocking report there are perch and northerns too. Has anybody had much luck there?

We can thank a local farmer for plowing out the road going into Brewer. I would guess with the snow we are getting it will be difficult to get in there again. Fishing has been poor, lake is being fished out.

The road in was plowed today with a few people setting up perms. Morning fishing was slow with only a few small perch. From 3:30 until dark caught and released about 6 nice size perch. I moved around a lot today and really worked hard for this fish I caught. About 15 houses total out today. What happened to all of the crappies?

as of saturday, the road in the park wasn't yet plowed. once you get on the lake, there's not too much snow. hopefully the road in the park will get plowed because after this next snowfall a person may not be able to get through the park even w/ a full size 4wd pick-up, (could get another 5 inches of snow tomorrow).
does anyone know if the county plows the park? |

is that the boat ramp on the east end. can a person get to the boat ramp on the west end of camp ground. i've heard its been slow this year but still would like to drill a few holes. havent been out yet. thanks

You can get on at the boat launch or just to the left of where the fishing dock goes in. You can get around pretty easy with a truck. The fishing was real slow last week.
