i was wondering if any of you who do bowfish from either on shore or in a boat and also bowhunt deer or whatever, do you use the same bow? Just curious as i got a new bow and usually used an older bow with less draw poundage. Thanks.

Im going to use the same one. just have to adjust the poundage for Hunting, but i would probably recommend using a different one. Just because they can get so beat up bowfishing..  Hate to have a nice bow go down into the river! Then you dont have to takeoff all your bowfishing stuff and put on your sight and whatnot for deer season..  lol and heck the smell of dead carp on  your bow alone might keep the deer away, who knows.

I bought a seperate bow for bowfishing. Just like fowl additude said haveing a nice deer bow covered in carp smell might not be the best thin in the woods this next fall. Changing over can be a pain. Less pounds to pull cack is a good thing too. Cause if you get on the right spot you will be shooting a lot in one day/night when ever you go.

Unfortunately, a lot of the river bottoms of the Missouri will probably smell like dead carp this fall.

You can't aim a duck to death.
