Bowfishing? help

looking to get into bowfishing. And i was wondering if there is any good areas around minot where you dont need a boat

the one thing that is almost sure to have carp is the tailrace of dams, especialy if the water is high, that worked in the aroda dam tailrace but I don't know anyplace around minot.

Don't know how far you're looking to go, but the G&F wildlife areas around Deepwater Bay on Sakakawea have had a lot of carp along the shoreline this year.  I've shot a few with just rubber boots on wading around in the shallows.

absolutely any bay in sakakawea or audubon 35 to 40 minutes from minot has spectacular bowfishing from shore.  If you cant wade out knee deep and shoot more carp than you've ever seen you doing something wrong.  the upper reach of any bay on either lake where the water is piss warm and the grass is thick will be packed with carp...enjoy, but don't leave em lay on shore to stink up the place or in the water for me to step on later.
