does anyone know if it is legal to shoot carp at night with the use of spotlights in nd?? I have always wanted to try it, looks like fun when the bowhunt at night on tv. Also, if anyone has any advice on what lights to use and how to power them (generator, or batteries) let me know as well.
I am a deer hunter, one thing about deer is they have very good vision, one thing about me is i am better at hiding then they are at vision.

If you have to think twice....he is not a shooter!

It is legal to bowfish at night.  There is a season for it, i believe it opens may 1st.  For basics you could use a spotlight but i find it easier with the generator and 500w flood lights.  I was running 6 lights on my boat but switched to 3 since mainly only shoot off of the shallow side of the boat.  We used the cheap 500w flood work lights and they worked very well for us just have to have some spare bulbs.

you can see deeper in the water at night with the help of lights....no glare and usually little to no wave action....thats why i would like to try it....and it will be cooler and i'm sure the beer will be going down great as well!!! just another thing to do on the water....and keep your archery muscles in shape in the off season....
