I drove the canal around  the chain of lakes today. It was a gorgeous day, light wind sunny and warm.     I noticed one person  out hunting carp.  I didn't stop and ask how he was doing but perhaps later down the road I should have turned around and told him about the pools further around the lake.   East Park Lake, West Park Lake, and all the way down the line to the end of New Johns were swarmed with carp, not just a couple in the <2' of water pools   but in the flats along the shore of the lake you can see them in schools  resembling baitfish, hundreds of them!      If you enjoy Bow Fishing,   get out there!!!!   If there had been a walleye spawn this spring,  the eggs are gone now!
