Bison Hunting in TRNP

I agree. Hunting should be allowed as a managment tool in the park. How about you?

I completely agree, this statement at the end of the article is painfully true.

"Only Uncle Sam could take something that hunters would volunteer to do at their own expense and turn it into something that costs taxpayers money instead."

Don't practice until you get it right, practice until you can't get it wrong.

I don't disagree at all, but can you imagine the public furor nowadays if even limited hunting were allowed, the screams that the Buffalo are sacred to the natives, etc. And the natives all screaming that they want them for their herds, religious ceremonies, etc.

As long as the Natives still want them for, their herds, I seriously doubt anything could be done to change things.  Let's face it, buffalo and elk are perceived differently by the general public.   To try change things would be like  tilting windmills.
