You did the right choice by holding out for him.  Even if you do not see him next year you will be satisfied you hunted for one and one only.  I know the feeling, it is a good one EVEN without getting him.

Wow, that pic really shows the drop tines which are really something.  I can see now how you came up with a huge number like 180.

Heck, I didn't even add in the brows yet!  Maybe I am wrong on him because that would push score to 175 without junk.

Gave it 25 main beams, 5 to 6 brows, 12 G2s (cannot see the one side), 10 G3s, 8 - 9 G4s and gave him a modest 34 inches of mass.  Inside of 17 to 18.  Quick reaction, so fast I forgot to put in brows!

Score of: 171 to 176.

Maybe over judging, I don't know, I suck.

Freak, no I saw him in 2008 and have three pics of him in 2009, I really didnt realize how big he was until we found his sheds last year, the awesome part was the 167 was without any stickers or droptines LAST YEAR!
Im all about the "nets are for fishing" quote.
Damn Tim that was fast, I have no idea what he would score this year I look at officially scored deer online and compare to him, thats where my guestimations come from. haha

I don't throw around that number around too much, BUT I've compared this deer to couple that have busted 200 inch mark and he seems to be right in the running, I just want to harvest this animal and take

I think you could turn me into a bow hunter with that thing walking around my hunting area.  That is one beauty of a deer.  To have that mount in your man cave would be quite a souvinir for your hard work.

I'd have to quit my job if I had a buck like that to hunt.   Oh ya and probably leave my wife since she would want to hunt him.   Of course all that would be before I told her about him.  I'm SURE she would understand!

That deer is easily 180" without the nontypical "junk". He will go 200" or more in this pic for sure :)  Good luck!

I hope you get him next year!

Oh damn, this picture left me staring and drooling at the computer screen.  Double corkscrew drops, mainframe like that with height and mass and points and junk.  I second the idea of wearing depends when you hunt him.  For sure there will be SOME loss of bodily fluids when he walks by your stand.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and

degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is

worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing

to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a

miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so

by the exertions of better men than himself.

HED... this picture does him MUCH more justice .. THANKS for sharing.... in the other picture he looks smaller.... but on this picture you can really see the length of all the tines and height he really has... plus all the length of the junk.... I do agree with you around the 180 mark now for sure.... dandy deer.... stick an arrow or bullet in him next year.... ill say a prayer that he makes it through the winter!

Appreciate it fellas, there is 4 of us that hunt him and a handful that know about his exact location,(north dakota, river bottom) to answer the junk question, YES he has every point as of Dec 23rd when he walked by @ 62 yards and I didn't have the confidence to shoot an arrow accurately that far, 10 min before dark. That day I checked my trail camera and he was on it with all that "nasty" on his head I probably had the biggest adrenaline rush in along time! Ill put pics up if I find his sheds!

Sheds were snagged off the property by a guy that doesn't know how to read no trespassing signs  or respect others back in Jan... Now I hope he makes it another summer!
