Post some of ND's best places to eat steak. Nothing better than a medium rare Ribeye and a cold beer, and I will drive hours for a good steak.

My favorite so far is the Pioneer bar in Velva. They make some of the best steaks I have tried, although Caspers Chophouse in Bismark made a pretty mean 21 ounce bone in Ribeye.

Lets here em

In Bismarck I will take the Hunter Ribeye at Minerava's as the best in town.

Some of best prime rib I ever had was in Kenmore at a restaraunt right next to our hotel(big white hotel). Like a mile North of the cenex on the west side of 52. Just on the northern end of town. That lady tried to kill me with 3 pounds of meat. it was great!!

Another good steak in ND was in Dickinson 5 years back at a place that brewed their own beer. I want to say snake creek grill but not sure. Man it was good, 3 pepper ribeye if I am not mistaken.

I think I had another good one at the Shamrock in whatever town is right west of Beach. I think that was in Montana though.

Smokies in west fargo was always OK before they got shut down. Lot's of decent steak for your dollar.

Does the fin and feather in Pollock still exist?? That was good to.

ohh to think of all the great steak I have ate over the years.

The best all time that I ever had was the 23 oz cowboy bone in ribeye at (Don) Schula's Five Star Steak House at the Dolphin Resort in Orlando Florida.

If I am not cooking my own:
1. Pioneer in Velva (prime rib)
2. Speedway - (prime rib - depends on the night)

Outside of ND:
Cattleman Company - Kansas City - Beef Oscar
(probably the best steak I have ever had)

I ate at the speedway in Minot a few times in the last 6 months. My feelings are since they opened it up to younger than 21, the steak has gone down hill.

I don't have a favorite because there are just too many good places.

My suggestions:

Buckskin Bar - Killdeer, ND
Scenic 23 - New Town, ND
(Can't remember the name for sure) but its in Palermo, ND
Triangle - Sidney, MT
Caspers - Bismarck, ND
Roby's - Mandan, ND

Those are a few I've ate at and enjoyed the meals.  They aren't in any particular order.

I was trying to think of that steak joint (palermo) you mentioned Tim, been there a couple of times some years back when I would ice fish White Earth. monster prime rib for dirt cheap prices. and good too. It's close to Tioga if memory serves me.

There use to be a place in Amidon that served a huge steak and it was in the best IMO. Also Outlaws in Watford City serves a huge prime rib that is right up at the top.
