Lycanthrope,
My brother, a friend and myself bought the 5# stuffer from The Sausage Maker out of Buffalo, New York about 15 years ago. I think we paid about $175.00 for it at the time. The stuffing plate broke on it and we had to weld it back up, and the whole thing is a pretty crude design, but they may have improved them since then. Last year I used my Dad's 11# Commercial Grade Vertical Stuffer that he bought from Cabela's and I liked it so well I bought one for myself this fall. I paid $249.95 for it and it is built so well it will outlive me. I don't know how much you want to spend on a stuffer but you won't find a better one cheaper unless you run into someone who has a used one for sale and they don't know what they are worth.

Sota was out this way again today, he got a doe but I wasn't there to witness any stuffing!!! He shot it in my father-in-laws buffalo pasture. I heard later he got another doe also.....My sons and I have 2 buck and a doe for 3A2 left to fill. No idea what I will be up to in the afternoon. I should be up here all week and possibly next weekend.

As far as sausage stuffers go, the old cast iron Enterprise stuffer work great, are built to last and they still have parts available for them if you ever need anything. You can find them in 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 quart machines. 4 and 8 quart are the most popular. I have had a 4 quart for a few years and just purchased a 4 and 8 quart. After I refinish them, I may have a couple of 4 quarts for sale, but that will be a while..........

Hey Mossy... I talked to sotaman, he seemed sane that day...lol, anyway he mentioned you were up in the area and we should try to meet somewhere. I told him fine but first I need to get a little hunting in, seeing nice deer and no hunters where I go.

I've been laughing at the neighbor kid (dingleberry), he's so worried about me getting a deer he guards the boundary line. If he put as much time into hunting as worrying about me he maybe could get a decent deer above 2 years old. If he knew I was sighting my rifle in and so were my friends (in my yard) maybe he would figure out I have chased the deer away from here so he doesn't have to worry. Just trying to help the kid out he's not all there and kind of creepy so I don't want him hanging around my place when I'm gone. Good Luck all!!!

murdock you old dog I heard you been talking about me and now I found it.. Hey I do need help shooting my buck I am three for three. Three wall hangers in three days all missed and hopefully still breathing. Damn it if I could only shoot straight. I am about sick with missing. Today was my fault I was playing with my scope in the truck and left it on nine power had a really nice buck looked like a 6X6 at 75 yards I get my gun pulled up and I can't find him now he is running I figure about mach two and I miss him. I look down and the scope is on nine power I couldn't pick him up fast enought. Boy was I pissed. I about threw the riffle in the ditch. anywho there is always tommorow..

Sorry about ruining the thread I don't know anything about sausage stuffers.. No matter what murdock says that technology chalanged guy.. I bet no one sees the picture ever

I have the 20 lb vertical stuffer from cabelas and must say it works fantastic. Split the price with four buddies on that and a deluxe meatgrinder. I'd recomend one.

I second Bowhuntin and Sportfish on Cabellas stuffer, My dad bought one a month ago, VERY NEAT, it has variable speed etc.. 2 weeks ago, We made pork sausage this year with it, really liked it.

My dad also bought a mixer from Cabelas and wasnt satisfied with it so he sent it back so we are now looking for a good electric meat mixer that actually mixes not slowly stir.
