Was curious if anyone can fish in the bays in Bismarck of the Missouri.  I seen people fishing the little bay behind the broken oar.  Do they have to have permission from the marina there or is it open to all.  Just curious jibber.
Here fishy fishy!!

if you can find a way onto the bay without going through anyones backyard i think the fishing would be ok in that area. Seen quite a few people fishing in southport this morning as well.

You have to be able to access the water. Once on the ice, theres not much anyone can do about you being there. Im guessing the residents arent happy about it. Marina bay can be tough to access, Ive heard you need to know someone to get access. South Port isnt that difficult because a public road runs right next to it, so you dont have to cross any private land to get on the ice. Ive seen quite a few bass and panfish in the weeds in southport when Im in there shooting Carp in the summer. Some nice pike also...

I will claim to have 2500 reasons each to think each bay on the Mandan side might not produce as one would expect.  Those reasons are each load of clay they hauled in to plug them last spring, only because they are still plugged.

I'm fairly new to Bis/Man and really dont have an interest in this years SB. How does one get to this Southpoint you speak of?

Southport is just to the south of the expressway bridge, on the Bismarck side.  Take Riverwood drive past TGI Fridays and the golf course and you'll be back there.  Not exactly sure where people fish there though
