Basic muzzleloader gear

use 245gr bullets cant remember what brand, triple 7 powder pellets, dont load three of them tho they are to hot for that and another must is a product called bore butter. put it on a cleaning patch and run it down the barrel before you shoot makes pushing your leads down the barrel much easier. as far as cleaning supplies its the same as a shotgun other than the brush sizes make sure to clean it every time after you get done shooting it and apply more bore butter

I use 240 grain Sabots, and Blackhorn 209 powder. I'd recommend Blackhorn because it's really clean shooting, making sighting in a lot more fun, and less work.

I would reccomend the 200gr TC shockwave bullet for reduced recoil and flatter trajectory, backed with 2 50gr pellets of your choice.  That makes for a relatively low recoil and accurate shot that is effective to 150 yards at least.  I still use Pyrodex pellets for that combination and have made several 150+ yard kills.  It is the equivalent of the good ol 30-30 with more knockdown energy and less recoil.
