Badlands Pack

Hey everyone,

Trying to decide between a Badlands Superday Pack or 2200 Pack. Going to be used for a deer hunt in Montana. I wont necessarily need it for packing out quarters, but the option would be nice. Mostly will be used for carrying gear...extra coat, 20-60x85 Vortex Razor HD spotter, tripod, calls, etc. Has anyone on here used either or both packs? Any info would be great.

Thanks!

I've had two 2200 packs. The older one I got cheap and I didn't care for it, had a lot of design flaws. The new one is great. Lots of adjustment and is comfortable. I really like the built in pistol holster on the belt and a lot of the little features. I have carried deer quarters on it and it works good, but I haven't had to pack a long ways with it. I've never tried the superday but I wouldn't buy anything smaller than the 2200.

I dont own either, but a friend has a superday, which is a nice pack, but would be too small for your needs from what i have seen him use it for...go with the 2200

Always plan to pack out! It's no fun to have to run back just for a pack unless you hunt close to the roads! I carry a 5200 now from Kuiu but had a Badlands and an eberlystock prior. Thing with the Kuiu is compressed it like an 1800 but open to pack for a few days. I have learned when it comes to packs to carry a big enough one to pack a whole deer.

Hunt today like there may be no tomorrow!
