ATV Tires

I'm in the need for some new tires for my atv and am wondering what the rest of you are using and having good luck with.  With last winter's snow, I wasn't able to use mine much on the ice, but have talked to some who didn't have the problems I had.  So, just wondering what you guys have found that work good in snow and mud.  Don't really want to go super aggressive (I prefer not to come back from every ride soaking wet or covered in mud) but do realize there's a balance.

Thanks for the help guys....

I really like the Maxxis Zilla's.  The have an aggressive tread, but it isn't overally aggressive and heavy.  The Maxxis Bighorns are really good to and they are a radial tire.  I know a lot of people use the IPT Mudlites and really like them to.

Couple of questions for you before I post.

What are you currently riding?  500? 800?  Polaris? Yam? Honda?

What or how do you drive?  Are you planning to take some Pembina Gorge trails this summer or are you the guy who only uses it to drive around the block, down some gravel roads, out to the fish hous, etc..

Do you plan to push snow?

Does ride matter to you?  Do you want to lighten the ATV up or does that not matter?

The ones listed above are good tires, but you can get into the right tire depending on the questions above.

Take a kid hunting instead of hunting for your kid.

First I am a Dad, then a husband, then a hunter.  Sometimes I get the husband and hunter mixed up, but luckily my wife remembers what order they should be in. :-)

X2 need more info on the atv, but I love my maxxis zillas. They are light, fairly cheap and not overly aggressive but aggressive enough to be a great mud tire as well as trails. The ride isn't as rough as I thought it would be. I have 28" on an 02 grizzly 660 on 14" wheels.

Ill upload a photo when I get to the dumbputer.

Runnin' Goodyear Rawhides, can't say I gave 'em much of a chance in the snow as I've tracks too.  I pushed a little snow with them prior to tracks, but not enough to really say they're good, bad, or otherwise in the snow.  Very happy with them for spring/summer/fall though.

Honda Rubicon 500.  I use it for pushing snow, spring snow goose hunting, ice fishing, and just riding around on trails and gravel roads.  A little bit of everything.  Would like somewhat of a ride.
