Many teams from the Dakota Walleye Classic made long runs to fish the Indian Hills area. In fact, the winning team and other top tens came just minutes from Indian Hills. Anglers flocked to the area because water temps were warming toward the 70 plus mark and many fish are being pushed away from the muddier water up north near the Pouch and Skunk areas.

Now with the tournament over anglers in the region will not have additional boats competing for their fish. Word of mouth indicates anglers will have good success seeking 70 degree temps and putting down long lined snells with crawlers in 18-24 feet. In other words, one of the better bites is coming from the Indian Hills areas.
