ND Burn Ban and Fire Danger Information

North Dakota is a state dictated by seasons.  Some years we have beautiful weather, some years we have a mix and some years we have weather that's less than ideal.  Perhaps the most dreaded weather in North Dakota--and any state for that matter--is drought.  During times of drought hardships befall farmers, ranchers, wildlife and basically affects every person in the state.

During times of drought there are special circumstances that might be of concern.  Two common themes are water conservation and fire warnings or fire bans.  As sportsmen, we have an obligated duty to me aware of fire warnings and bans.  We are out in the field nearly all year long and using special care will help in assuring we do our part to stop fires that damage our resource and could destroy property or even take lives.

This news release is sponsored by the North Dakota Emergency Operations Center System and the North Dakota State Government.  The following links provide information regarding the current Weather Service fire danger levels by county, and information about North Dakota Law as it pertains to outdoor burning.
