Badlands Bass Bandits Big Bass Challenge

Measure The Length Of Your Catch
  • Contest Fee $30 Prize: Quantum rod and reel combo valued at $150 for each division winner.
  • Use the 2009 Bass Bandit ruler provided (in mail package) to measure the length of your bass (NO OTHER RULERS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS CONTEST).
  • Measure distance between closed lips and tip of COMPRESSED tail to the nearest ¼ inch.
  • Take photo of bass with ruler in CLEAR view above OR below the bass, as shown above.
  1. All bass must be 14 inches in length to qualify for entry, this includes both species.
     
  2. Winner will be decided by catching the 3 largest bass determined by length during the competition.
     
  3. There is no limit to how many entries a contestant can enter. Only the largest 3 bass per contestant will qualify towards winning the contest. All 3 do not have to be entered at the same time.
     
  4. Anglers must provide 2 photographs: (this rule is very important)
    1. 1st Photo must have angler holding fish in clear view (ruler does not need to be in view for this photo, however the contestants’ face must be showing)
    2. 2nd Photo must have the bass with ruler in CLEAR view above OR below the bass, as shown above on this form. Both photos must be included with the entry form.
       
  5. Any photo that does not follow the rules listed above will be disqualified for that particular entry.
     
  6. The official ruler must be completely straight and lying flat, in all photo entries. Any bends, folds, or other discrepancies of the ruler will disqualify that particular entry.
     
  7. Contestants will use the Big Bass Certification Form for each fish they enter, do not put multiple entries on one form, use separate forms for each entry. Contestants may make blank copies of the form if needed. No other form will be accepted.
     
  8. Contestants must be legal residents of North Dakota, except for Bass Bandit members.
     
  9. Any entry that does not use the official Bass Bandit ruler will not be accepted.
     
  10. Starting Date: April 1st Ending Date Sept. 30th
     
  11. All entries post marked before April 1st of after Sept. 30th will be disqualified.
     
  12. In case of a tie by length, the tie breaker will go to the angler whose entries are post marked the earliest.
     
  13. There are two separate divisions, Largemouth and Smallmouth division. Each division winner will win a Quantum rod and reel combo valued at $150.
     
  14. Contestants may fish any lake or body of water of their choice, bodies of water out of state are accepted.
     
  15. Any contestant caught cheating will forfeit his/her contest rights, monies and will be disqualified.
     
  16. All entries will be reviewed by the judge, who reserves the right to disqualify any entry that breaks any of the rules listed above. (Note: the judge will not be competing in the contest).

Where do the proceeds go?  I am guessing there has to be a good reason for the $30 entry?
