Are you owed money?

Did you know that many North Dakotan's are owed money and this money is being held by the state just waiting for you to claim it?

To see if you, a relative, or friend have money just sitting there waiting, check out:

www.land.nd.gov  and then go to Unclaimed Property Division and do a search.

I've got friends on it but I am going to hold it over their heads till they sign a release giveing me 10% of whatever they find!!!!   LOL

 Seems legit, it's a nd.gov website.  My name is on the list and I have been in contact with someone from their office about this 'Unclaimed Property'.  I'll report back when I know for sure that this thing is real.

It's legit.  It's the State of ND's website for money owed to people but unclaimed.  It can be old tax returns, paychecks, and other money's owed to a person.  When I checked it my mother was on it.  It was an old Blue Cross/Shield payment that went uncashed/claimed after she'd passed away.  If you call the number they'll sometimes let you know the amount and you can then decide if it's worth filling out the claim form.

Looks fishy to me.  my guess is its a clever way to entrap people who owe money to the state or have outstanding warrants.  My brothers name is on there and he's never owned or been owed anything in his life.  however he has owed money or property to just about any possible entity I can imagine.

Yup, looks like a trap to me. I found names of people I KNOW have outstanding debts, but doubt highly they have any cash owed TO them.....

 Fairly certain I have no outstanding warrants, or owe the state any money at all.  It tells me I have unclaimed property from Office Depot, a former employer, they have an address on file for me from 4 years ago.  

I'll volunteer to fill out the form and send it in and let you all know the outcome, if you don't hear back from me I'm probably in prison for something I may or may not have done.

Its not a trap, I had a 50 dollar cell phone reimbursement that was transfered to the state somehow. I had to fill out some paperwork, and got a check for fifty bones.

I think his name was Wayne, but that Fat Bastard still owes me 3 bucks for buying his lunch when we were in High School..... I think I will hunt him down and beat him with a bat!!

You guys are way too paranoid.  This site's been there for at least 5 if not 10 years and occasionally the newspapers do an article on it to highlight that people in this state are owed money and it's just sitting there waiting......
