any one know a good spot to spear?? lake melissa?

1968pickup Joined: 09/13/2009 Location: nd	im new to spearing looking for a good lake in mn around detroit lakes area to spear some pike was thinking of trying by the access on melissa {i think that one is legal to spear on?}or any lakes in the area anyone got any suggestions

SpearPikeHunnter Joined: 02/29/2012 Location: ND	I realize this is a very late reply, but you CAN spear on melissa, but there is strict size restrictions. So you would be better off spearing another lake. I believe you can't spear anything between 24'' and 36''.
	I should be spearing instead of commenting this.

scary man Joined: 04/23/2011 Location: ND	I've only been to mellisa once, in the summer of 2008 or 2009, and we forgot the keys to the boat, so we used the trolling motor to get out to the drop off, and we got a few assorted pan fish and a 6 pound northern, but we had to let it go because of that darn slot limit.
