Anyone have a fishing & ice thickness report for Rice Lake (by Strasburg, ND), Cherry Lake (by Steele), Lake Helen (by Tuttle), Froelich Dam (Sioux County) or Crooked Lake (near Mercer)? I was going to try one of these lakes this weekend with a full size wheel house and curious about ice thickness.

I was thinking of trying Marvin Miller Lake west of Gackle next weekend and was wondering if anybody has been out punching holes.  I've tried Braddock Dam and caught hundreds of little perch but no walleye and northerns.  I was just wondering if anybody has been out and had any luck.

Fishing has slowed some on Goose Lake, although  perch still being caught. The Minot paper is showing good for walleye but of all the people I've visited with and my personal fishing, nothing  going on for walleye. You do tangle into some decent pike occasionally though.  Be advised a 4 wheeler broke through, near a permanent type fish house, last Sat., if you notice an area of wood posts outlining an area, stay away- it's about 350 yds. south of the area, people are accessing the lake (from the north side). Very slippery, cleats are needed- some have been driving on but the ice is only about 10-11" yet.

Went to Antelope Lake Saturday, July 16, 2011.  road just before the lake has water over it.  made it thru that, got to the lake and found the road washed out.

we did manage to push the boat off the trailer and go fishing but only got some 8 to 12" walleye, three that were about  14-15 but nothing i wanted to keep.
