I am looking at putting together a trip up to Homer, Alaska in search of halibut.  The guide we used 10+ years ago has retired.  Any suggestions/recommendations for who to use?
Thanks!

There are several outfitters up there that do a good job.  We have gone with North Country Charters in Homer 5 times and they have always done a great job.   We are also looking to go up there next year.  I have personally fished with Joe and Richard for both Halibut only and Combo trips.  If I had to choose between the two for a combo trip, I would go with Richard only because of his boat Obsession.  It's a bit more friendly for salmon than Joe's boat the Pacific Sun.  Both are very knowledgable and great to fish with.  They have always provided a top notch fishing experience.  Good Luck!!
