Ok guys, one of my fishing partners has been offered a good deal on a new Ranger.  But I just can't get him to "pull the trigger".  So, I figured if everyone on here would PM him telling him how much he needs a new faster (his current one's kinda slow) Ranger it just might be what it takes....lol

His name on here is Waunderer.

First of all lets explain the boat I have.  2007 Ranger 620 250 yamaha. t8 kiker, terrova with I Pilot, 3 lowrance depth finders, troll master, and numerous other add ons.  Top speed about 56mph fully loaded 20 rods 2500 crank baits, anchors, and every other thing known for any type fishing, I still have 3 years warranty on my motors and I still have dealer warranty on the boat. Boat is in perfect condition with no scratches or chips.  they want me to trade for the exact same boat 2010 year.  Now on the other hand my Partner has an old LUND PRO V with Must be a 2006 Model 250 Verado and 9.9 kiker and about the same amount of tackle and rods and gear BUT HIS BOAT BURNS TWICE AS MUCH GAS I trully feel he should upgrade so we can afford  to drive his rig further than a few miles from the ramp for caution of running out of gas.

Um, the 2007 Ranger would be my dream boat so I don't think there's much of a need to upgrade unless it's a very , very small dollar amount to boot. I can understand the 20 rods, but 2500 crankbaits, are you serious or just being sarcastic??!!

Fox, he's serious.  It's actually probably more now.   There's no such thing as having too many cranks.

Holy balls! I could buy myself a real nice river boat for the price of 2500 crankbaits!

AL GOT A NEW BOAT!!!!

Not because he wanted too.  Not because I wanted him too either.  Rather, it was because of about a 500 foot long irrigation pipe floating just below the surface in the Grand River near Mobridge SD last month in a MWC tourney.  At 55mph we had good air time.  Landing actually wasn't that bad either.  But the boat and motor didn't fair very well.  Motor was trashed and quite a bit of damage to the hull and boat.  Enough for his insurance company to total it out.  After we hit it, we tried to wave off the boats behind us, but the first one hit it as well.  Pretty sure they didn't fair very well either.  While we got to see the bottom of their boat as it went air borne, I still think we had better air time.  I do have to give the ol' Ranger credit for not leaking and getting back though.  Kind of sucked going from 55mph to 5.5.

Now Al's sporting a brand new 620 Ranger with a 250 Yamaha four stroke and a FULL WINDSHIELD (that was at my request).

Wow that's cool.  Except the insurance company probably doesn't think so.
Great though for you and AL, getting some air time
and all, and better yet for Al, he got the new boat.

Holy crap!

Let me warn you though, I have watched a guy go through a windshield at 30+ mph from a boat and land in less than 6 inches of water.   I believe his first answer to the question of "hey, you OK' was a no.  And it took him a few seconds to lift his face out of the water to even say that.

The guy, windshield, coolers, and an asundry of crap was in the water.  Took my little 25 horse Johnson a while to pull them off the bar.
